We are stoked to announce a little last minute surprise! The screening takes place at our next door neighbour, the library on Rentemestervej, who have kindly extented their opening hours for us.

Fuckin’ Anti Cimex! From raw recordings in a chicken coop on the plains of Västergötland to punk scenes around the world, the film follows the band whose sound, uncompromising energy and political charge continue to resonate in the punk and hardcore scene.

Through archive material, international perspectives, and a dreamy, humorous tone, directors Tomas Haglund and Oskar Sjödin paints a portrait of a musical legacy that still packs a punch.

You may have heard about this now, as we have mentioned it several times in the newsletters, but we’ve been working hard to gather photographic evidence and memories of the previous 25 years of K-Town experiences.

And though the fest have gone through some name changes over the years, the essence and ideals of which the fest was build on, have more or less been the same.

Through hard work, constant emailing, roll calls and texting old buddies, guests and comrades we have managed to collect 2000+ photos from the past festivals (!!)…

… so head to the balcony in Salen (inside Ungdomshuset) and take a stroll down memory lane. Here you’ll find 25 years of K-Town Hardcore Fest in a huge mosaic of pictures from our guests. Who knows, maybe you’ll spot yourself, people you know or maybe even some of the bands you and your friends used to play in!
